Our Website “Crashed”
Posted by R4cH3L | Filed under News
So, basically our website had “hard drive issues.” Thus, our service provider had to “recreated [our] account.”
This basically means that we lost all our data.
I’m trying as hard as I can to recreate what we had before. But with a minimal backup what I’m working off this basically means I have to recreate everything from scratch.
Please, bear with us. I [Rachel] am working as hard as I can to try to recover everything to the way it was before, but it’s looking pretty grim.
I lost all of the database information for all the forums and main websites for !nstinct, CYA, and PWA.
I’m sad to say we have to start all over.
One lesson that I’ve learning is you get what you pay for web hosting. So, if you have cheap web hosting. Don’t think it’s reliable. Make AS MANY BACKUPS AS YOU CAN, and make sure you don’t loose data. This is the only advise I can give you and take myself, since, I’ve never had this type of problem before in the about 5 years I’ve been working with web sites.
To conclude, this is another slow process, so please again stay with us. Hopefully things should be running smoothly soon.
